Sherry Cowie Scholarship Fund

All scholarship applications need to be submitted using IVCF's online scholarship application system. Please note that there is an eligibility quiz in the online portal to help students identify scholarships that they are eligible for.

The deadline for all scholarship applications is Monday, April 13, 2026.

The Sherry Cowie Scholarship is open to:
Graduating seniors of Brawley Union High School, Calipatria High School, and Desert Valley High School who have a GPA of 2.9 or above and will be attending a 2-year or four-year college or university, or a certified vocational / trade school as a full-time student (12+ units or equivalent per semester).

The scholarship criteria will include consideration for:
- Academic merit
- Education plans and career goals
- Financial need
- Interest in bettering one's personal circumstances

If you would like to make a donation to the Sherry Cowie Scholarship Fund, please make your check payable to the “Imperial Valley Community Foundation” and include memo “Sherry Cowie Scholarship Fund.” Please send your check to: Imperial Valley Community Foundation, PO Box 2739, El Centro, CA 92244.
