Mark Gran attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Farm Management and finished Real Estate classes at Imperial Valley College. He has been in Real Estate as an agent and Broker for over 21 years, and is a Broker in both California and Arizona. He was the Vice President for Sales and then VP for Community and Political relations for the McMillin Companies and has been with CalEnergy Operating Corporation as the VP of Real Estate Assets and Community Relations for the last 3 and a half years.
He was the City Councilman for the City of Imperial and is currently on his 4th term serving as Mayor. He is a current Member and Past President of the Imperial Valley Breakfast Rotary. He has experience as the Chair of the Business Services/Marketing Committee of the Workforce Development Board. He is a member of the IVEDC Renewable Energy Committee, and the Green Energy Employer Council.
He is a Real Estate Broker in two states, has a notary license in California, and has received an award from IVEDC for the Renewable Energy Person of the Year.
Mark's favorite hobbies include golf, horseback riding, and riding motorcycles.
A native of Imperial Valley, Dr. Jaime was born in Brawley California and attended schools in El Centro, graduating from Central Union High School in 1975. He graduated from Imperial Valley College in 1977 and attended the University of California, Irvine from 1978 to 1980, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science. He received his Master Degree in Counseling from San Diego State University in 1985; an Educational Specialist Degree from Point Loma Nazarene College in 1990, a Doctorate in Education from Northern Arizona University in 1999, where he was awarded the first Ardeth Croper School Practioner’s Award for outstanding achievement in Educational Leadership.
Dr. Jaime currently lives in Imperial with his wife Caroline, a teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in El Centro, and his three children, Jennifer and Stephen 26 years old, current and former IVC students, and Matthew 16 years old.
In the Fall of 1980, Victor Jaime was hired as a counselor for the Talent Search Program at Imperial Valley College. He was named Project Director of Talent Search from 1981 to 1985. Served as Dean of Financial Aid and State Programs from 1985 to 1999. In 1999, Dr. Jaime was named Vice-President for Student Services, and recently named Interim-Superintendent/President of Imperial Valley College. In total, Dr. Jaime has served the students at Imperial Valley College for over 30 years.
Dr. Jaime is a charter member and officer of the Imperial Rotary Club. He is active in St. Anthony’s Church in Imperial serving as a lector, commentator, and Eucharistic Minister and is on the Board of Director’s of the San Diego-Imperial Counties Burn Institute. Professionally, Victor Jaime has served on various State committees including Regional Coordinator for the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) Program, the California Community College Chancellor=s Office Allocation Task Force, the California Community College Student Financial Aid Administrator's Association (CCCSFAAA) State Issues Committee, and is a member of numerous State, Regional and National Associations in the area of Student Services.
He received the Man of the Year award from the Center for Family Solutions, and the Distinguished Service Award from the Burn Institute.
Michael “Mike” W. Kelley is a lifelong resident of Imperial County and a graduate of Imperial Valley College and San Diego State University, Imperial Valley Campus. Mike has been employed by the County of Imperial for the past 37 years; 10 years at Probation and Corrections as Juvenile Detention Officer, Deputy Probation Officer, Assistant Superintendent Juvenile Hall, Superintendent Juvenile Hall, and Director of Juvenile Facilities, and 10 years as Court Administrator/Jury Commissioner for Superior and Municipal Courts of Imperial County, and the last 17 as Chief Probation Officer.
Mike has served as Mayor and council member for the City of Imperial, and as past Chairman of Imperial Valley Association of Governments. His extensive and successful experience in the administration of personnel and multi-million dollar budgets has served his community well.
Mike is heavily involved in his community. His most rewarding experience has been coaching team sports such as T-ball, Farm League Baseball, Little League Baseball, Soccer and Pop Warner Football.
As a father and grandfather of children living in Imperial County, Mike is committed to preserving our quality of life and retaining the history and traditions of Imperial County making it a better and safer place to live for generations to come. He will strive to protect Imperial County resources including our water, farm land, air quality, environment, education, health, recreation and our citizens by addressing all issues with a fair, honest and balanced approach.
